Case study: Bankside
Cutting-edge solution for a stylish and sophisticated setting
Bankside Hotel is part of the Autograph Collection, a network of upmarket independently owned and operated hotels across the globe. All hotels in the group have a unique character, with a firm focus on design that’s expressed through handpicked furniture and eclectic artworks.
Bankside Hotel approached CRE based on our work with other high-end hotels. They wanted us to develop solutions for their meeting rooms, restaurant and communal areas.
New challenges, innovative ideas
Key to the project was a ‘white-box’ space. This was a completely new concept : a 20m x 20m space that’s completely flexible and adaptable to the needs of the hotel’s clients. The space had to allow for a multiplicity of configurations, with presentation available on any number of video inputs and outputs.
CRE designed a solution that allows the staff to configure the space without any outside help, so they don’t need to call in a CRE engineer. An intuitive, bespoke interface gives the hotel staff a simple, non-technical solution to manage and monitor the facilities.
In addition to the white-box space, we also provided a fully-equipped function suite, with three meeting rooms that include local audio, as well as hardwired and wireless presentation facilities.
We delivered a high-end music solution in the restaurant, dining and communal areas, as well as a video-conferencing facility and digital signage.
CRE worked throughout with several IT suppliers to coordinate and integrate the project.
